From Home Stager to Realtor: My Journey in Real Estate

Rachel Kay • April 5, 2023

In 2018, I became an owner of a home staging business. Becoming a home stager was a career path that was fulfilling and allowed me to express my creativity. It allowed me to develop my eye for design and truly served as a stepping stone to becoming a realtor.

I was able to help homeowners sell their properties quickly and added value to their price point.

I was able to help real estate agents present their properties in the best possible light to potential buyers.

I was part of the process. It was so rewarding.

After several successful years in the home staging business, I realized that I wanted to take my passion for real estate to the next level. I had gained knowledge and experience in the industry, and I wanted to use that expertise to help clients not only prepare their homes for sale, but also guide them through the buying and selling process. That's when I decided to pursue my real estate license.

My experience as a home stager proved to be invaluable. I can leverage my knowledge of home design and market trends to help my clients find their dream home or sell their property for the best possible price. And because I had worked closely with real estate agents in the past, I understood how the industry worked and how to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Today, I am proud to be able to help clients navigate the complex world of real estate with ease. I credit my experience as a home stager with giving me the skills and confidence to pursue my passion and build a fulfilling career in the industry.
